Dry Cleaning Dilema

Why is it that every piece of dry-clean-only or hand-wash or lay-flat-to-dry clothing that I own is the first to get dirty? I swear, the second I take a clean one of those out of the closet, my kids' noses start to run! What is the physiology behind that?! Is it the scent of extra work that gets it going? Every time I have worn a certain brown sweater, one of them comes up to me and smears their snotty face on my freshly laundered, difficult to wash shirt! What do you do? NOT BUY THOSE SHIRTS!!! If only I'd remember that when I'm at a store...

It's one of those "mom truths." Clothes (and carefully decorated or delicate rooms) will attract messy children in direct proportion to how difficult they are to clean. Dry cleanable stuff is a child magnet. Love the blog!
